Indigenous Peoples / Columbus Day

Although Columbus didn’t land in America in 1492, his party did discover the Taino people of now Cuba and Hispaniola (Haiti and Dominican Republic) – and their tobacco.

Over the course of many centuries, premium cigars have become a highly crafted, handmade and artisanal experience. This would not be possible without the volcanic soil, tropical climate, and loving effort, knowledge and skill of the indigenous people of the Americas.

We love cigars, but we are here for the people. The people who cure, ferment, blend and roll the tobaccos, design the packaging, sell them across the country – and of course, all of you who partake in the flavors of a fine cigar!

Call the holiday whatever you wish - it’s all the same to us.

So come watch some football, have a cocktail, and fire up a smoke!
